Informal post lol –Also IKWTBAB hit 1000 streams on spoty so thank u if u streamed it so far and/or plan to again soon!
Haiii every1 I got a new amp and Connor’s dad sent me off with a new pedal recently so I just want to show and tell a little about them
The Amp
I was looking for one amp that could take both my stereo outputs and route them to different speakers, plus I was looking for a nice clean tone and a good reverb I could use to polish the sound a little and add a teeny tiny little lift. I already have my DBA Rooms giving me a really nice gated reverb (you can hear how that sounds all over the EP but especially at the intro to GRDS.) I really thought I was going to have to rig something up or mod something myself until I discovered the Fender Ultimate Chorus. I was able to grab one of these and a great price with casters and “the good reverb tank” based on production year. At least that’s what everyone says.
The Fender UC is allegedly supposed to be a solid-state response to the Roland JC-120. with twin 12 inch speakers, 65 watts, and glassy Fender cleans, the amp was exactly what I was looking for. I don’t have the production year on hand anymore because the guy on eBay took the listing down instead of marking it sold. After prod was moved to Mexico but before they switched to DSP everything. She’s big and pretty and sounds tight.
I tried it out this past week and the QOL upgrades are just what I need. She is heavier than my other amps but being able to show up with one amp and still use my left and right separately is such a huge plus. Trying it out with the full band tomorrow… excited doesn’t even begin to cover it. The reverb is so pretty and there is a stereo chorus that comes with it, so I will be using my stereo chorus more for dual tremolo and flanger than anything.

The Pedal
I didn’t take a pic of the pedal Connor’s dad gave me but I’ll drop one in here if I remember (I remembered btw.) If not its right under my switcher in the above picture^^.
The Cheesemonger is based on the Lovetone Big Cheese, a sought after four-stage fuzz from the 1990s. Comes equipped with a knob for gain, vol, and tone control. As well as a 4 way swticher between mid-scoop, mid-boost, plus a long and a short gate. Connor’s dad sent me with a few pedals and I’m working on a board for another one of them but the CM plays really nicely with the gain staging already set up on my board. I am running the CM into the input of my switcher so this is the agent overdriving all my gain staging into oblivion.
When I took the MojoMojo off my board, I was worried because my harmonics were a little weaker without it. The CM has solved that issue though and I just love the way I have everything dialed in to work with the CM so far.
I’m about 90% sure this is the circuit he used. The pedal is handmade he does that.

The Case
Got a Mono Vertigo case just because I was tired of the amount of protection I got from my old soft case. I still have it and still use it, I just don’t want it on the road with me. It was one of my grandfather’s things that I got to sort through and keep what I kept when he passed. It’s nice to be able to use the same things my grandfather used to make totally different kinds of music, but sometimes older equipment needs a little extra TLC. I’m tired of worrying about my guitar when it’s in its case. This was the upgrade I needed.
